Banks, Oregon- Eugene's Chris Sine will be one of the invaders headed into the Jim's 100 Open Street Stock National 100 at Sunset Speedway Park. Sine has been having a fantastic season at Cottage Grove Speedway winning six races in a row in their Street Stock division. We got a chance to talk to him while the team was in the middle of rebuilding their engine.

“We had high expectations this year,” said Sine, “our team works so hard on this car so we expect to win every week. We've got really good sponsors which has allowed us to this and everyone is so happy with how the year is going.”

Sine will be be making his SSP debut on Saturday July 11th in his Pro Auto Racing/Murphy Plywood/Pure Romance by April/Quantum Mechanics/Stipe Engine Specialties/Blind Pig Bar & Grill/Springfield Tire Factory/Automotive Sheetmetal/BK Engineering/Dennymite Race Cars/Hilltop Racing #24 Camaro. In addition to CGS success he does have one win at his old stomping grounds at Madras Speedway back in May. He has not lessened his expectations going into this event.

“Our goal is to go up there to win,” he would continue to say, “it's one of our three main goals for 2015 and the other two are to win the Wallbanger Cup (at Cottage Grove Speedway) and the championship in Cottage Grove. We would like to get a win at every track we visit at this year.”

Sine would like to send a very special thanks to his crew Ben Tuski, Todd Neal, Denny Deatherage, and Mike Wichert. With some out of towners headed to Banks it should be a great race this weekend.

Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30 each night. Tickets for both events are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
