John Ireland Enters Jim's 100 As SSP Street Stock Point Leader

Banks, Oregon- Despite being seventy-three years old nothing has seemed to slow things down for John Ireland. The Banks driver is the defending Sunset Speedway Park Street Stock champion and already has visited victory lane once in 2015. That came on June 27th at the “Banks Bullring”.
“It's went pretty well this year,” said Ireland, “I haven't won many races but I've always been in the top four so I can't really complain. I'm just having a really good time.”
Ireland has managed to finish in the top five in all ten starts. His worst finish has been three fourth place results. He enters the Jim's Thriftway Open Street Stock National 100 as the current SSP Street Stock point leader. “I would be real pleased to finish in the top five,” continued Ireland, “if I finish down in tenth I'll be a little disappointed with myself.”
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30 each night. Tickets for both events are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
