LEDUC, Alb. (June 30, 2017) Making the call for the A-Feature all three nights of the 46th Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup at Skagit Speedway, Canada’s Skylar Gee posted a best finish of ninth during Friday’s preliminary A-Feature.

Along with the top-ten finish, Skylar was also the night’s CP Carrillo Hard Charger of the Night after winning the B-Main to make the show. With a combined finish of 13th and ninth during preliminary completion, Skylar was able to lock his Carlan Services No. 99 into Saturday’s $15,000 to win feature event.

“We were good Thursday and Friday. Getting locked in was a big relief for sure,” commented Skylar.

Starting 14th in Saturday’s feature event, Gee struggled to move forward during the feature, but eventually did find his groove to salvage a 15th place finish.

“We thought the track was going to be a little tackier, and just missed the setup. The car was okay, it just took too long to find a groove that worked, but once we did, we were able to get a couple spots back. Overall, not a bad weekend. Just looking forward to Grays Harbor now.”

Skylar will be in action on Friday, June 30 and July 1 at Grays Harbor Raceway for the Fred Brownfield Classic with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.
