LEDUC, Alb. (August 23, 2017) Skylar Gee is looking forward to getting back on a short track as the driver of the Carlan Services No. 99 takes on Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. on Thursday, August 24 with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

Off a return visit to the Missouri State Fair Speedway this past Sunday, Gee was less than thrilled with the outcome of his weekend at the half-mile.

“We were looking to have a lot better run than we did for sure. I just flat out made a mistake in the Heat race that knocked the front end out of it. After that, we were just buried the rest of the night,” commented Gee.

Making his debut at the “The Ditch”, Gee feels good to get back on a quarter-mile.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to short tracks. I haven’t really run a lot of big tracks, so the smaller tracks just really suit my driving style better.”

Commenting that his father, Tim Gee, had experience racing at Riverside over 30 years ago, Skyler said his dad described the track as ‘unique’. All the more reason that Skylar is excited to see what all the hype is.

Thursday’s events get underway at 6:30 P.M. (CDT) and can be heard on Racinboys.com. For continued updates on Skylar Gee and the Carlan Services No. 99, follow Skylar at Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/skylargeeracing.
