ASCS Gulf South Back In Beaumont On Saturday
Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (July 4, 2018) The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region returns to the track this Saturday night as the series heads for Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas on Saturday, July 7.
The season’s second trip to the one-third mile oval, the season’s first visit, following two weathered out attempts, the driver on top was Channin Tankersley.
Serving as the fifth round of the 2018 season that has been plagued by Mother Nature, four races have found just as many winners with Tankersley leading the charge by 11 points over Ray Allen Kulhanek.
Close all the way back through sixth, Koty Adams trails by only 34 with Tommy Bryant in fourth with only 59 points to make up. Caleb Martin in fifth trails by 61 with Dustin Gates in sixth at a 62-point deficit. Harry Yerrington, Dale Wester, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., and Blake Hahn complete the top-ten.
Saturday, July 7 at Golden Triangle Raceway Park opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Along with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region, the lineup of classes will also include Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, Rookie Limited Modifieds, regular Limited Modifieds, and ModLites/Dwarfs.
Admission is $15 for adults with kids 6-11 admitted for $5 into the grandstands. Kids five and under are free. Golden Triangle Raceway Park is located at 16583 Hwy. 90, Beaumont, TX.
