Michaelsohn Cashes in on Dacotah Speedway Bounty

Brandon Vetter started on the pole for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Network Dacotah Speedway Hobby Stock feature before outside pole Roy Erickson took the lead when the green flag waved. Erickson’s lead was short lived as Curt Michaelsohn grabbed the lead on lap two. As Michaelsohn started to distance himself from the field, points leader John Gartner Jr, Brent Vetter, A.J. Davenport and Dylan Sandberg battled for second. Gartner Jr, riding the high line around the track, challenged Vetter for second. They raced side by side until a caution on lap seven regrouped the field. On the restart, Vetter choose the outside starting lane, pinning Gartner to the bottom. On the restart, Gartner struggled on the bottom groove. While racing for third with Sandberg, they made contact resulting in Sandberg drifting too high off corner four with two laps to go. Dylan Sandberg held on to finish sixth behind fifth place A.J. Davenport. Nathan Messer, who started ninth, finished fourth while John Gartner snapped a six race winning streak to finish third. For the fourth week in a row, Brent Vetter finished second as Curt Michaelsohn led all but one lap in the feature to win the race. Michaelsohn earned an extra 150 dollars from Dacotah Speedway for snapping John Gartner Jr's winning streak.
