Wolla Picks Up Feature Victory at Dacotah Speedway
Crist Pittinger and Travis Peery started on the front row for the IMCA Modified feature. Peery took the lead early but felt pressure from behind from Travis Olheiser. They briefly raced side by side until Olhesier grabbed the lead on lap three, bringing Jason Wolla with him. An early caution regrouped the field and on the restart, Wolla flew by Olheiser to take over the top position. Wolla started to pull away from the field as Peery lost the third position to Jeremy Keller. A caution with 14 laps to go erased Wolla’s large lead. Keller passed Olheiser on the restart and held strong with Wolla for the top spot. As the laps wound down, Shawn Strand and Tom Berry Jr started to close in on Keller. As the checkered flag waved, Marlyn Seidler finished fifth while Tom Berry Jr made a last lap pass on Shawn Strand to grab the third position. Jeremy Keller finished a season best of second behind feature winner, Jason Wolla.
