Jim Falls, Wisconsin (August 26, 2018) The Eagle Valley Speedway ended its 2018 season on a wet note as thunderstorms forced the cancellation of the Powder Plus Season Championships. The speedway wishes to thank all the sponsors involved throughout the season along with every fan and competitor who came to enjoy or race.
The Eagle Valley Speedway congratulates the season point champions in all six classes. During the course of the 2018 season, 33 separate drivers won feature events with 15 winning multiple times. Mike Anderson won the WISSOTA Modified title which featured seven winners as Tommy Richards won the WISSOTA Super Stock title which had four separate winners. Calvin Iverson won the WISSOTA Midwest Modified championship with a total of five drivers carrying the checkered flag; and, the WISSOTA Street Stocks saw four separate winners with Danny Richards earning the title. The WISSOTA Pure Stocks championship went to Tyler Wahlstrom as George Richards won a track leading 12 times. It was the second consecutive season the all-time winningest driver at the Eagle Valley Speedway won all but one event. The EVS Hornets championship belt went to Chad Prissel as eight drivers had won in the class at years end.
Special events included Jake Redetzke winning the Dirt Kings Late Model event and Dan Ebert winning the Advantage RV Modified tour. The sprint cars were won by Brooke Tatnall in the winged division and Cam Schafer in the traditional sprints.
