Dover to take back-row challenge Saturday at I-90 Speedway

Jack Dover has won every event the Property Solutions of American Midwest Sprint Touring Series has held at I-90 Speedway in 2019 and 2020. If the Springfield, Nebraska, driver is to get the win this Saturday, it will be from the back of the starting lineup.

Cressman Sanitation of Hartford, South Dakota, has issued the challenge to Dover, and he has accepted.

Dover, a 29-time winner with MSTS 360, is the most successful driver with the tour in the win column. Four of those victories have come this year and last at I-90 Speedway. Dover has a fifth career win at the track in ASCS competition prior to 2015. Dover also has the most wins in the history of the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Dirt Track Bank.

The Liquid Trucking #53 also recently broke a MSTS record by claiming his fourth consecutive win with the tour. Dating back to the 2019 season, Dover has taken four consecutive victories. Those wins were claimed at Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa), Park Jefferson Speedway (N. Sioux City, South Dakota) and at I-90 Speedway. The previous record was two consecutive wins held by Dover (seven times), Tim Kaeding (two times), Lee Grosz and Gregg Bakker.

The back-row challenge will not alter any MSTS lineup procedures. Dover will be calculated into the lineup to his earned starting position, and then pulled to the back of the field. Drivers scheduled to start behind him in the main event will move up one position before the official lineup is posted. (Example – Dover is schedule to start 4th, then the 5th starter will move up to 4th, 6th moves to 5th – and so on)

Saturday’s event at I-90 is $17 for adult general admission tickets; ages 13-18 are $10 and 12 and younger are free.

The stands open at 5 p.m. Practice begins at 6:30 with racing to follow.
