AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA series back in action this weekend
By John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (March 15, 2021) - Two nights of racing are on tap for the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars this weekend that will see the series racing in Kansas and Oklahoma.
The third event of 2021 will get underway Friday at Caney Valley Speedway. In four visits to the Kansas quarter mile last season past champion Alex Sewell won twice while Kinzer Edwards also won two.
Saturday marks a return to Creek County Speedway for the first time in two years. In 2019 Jase Randolph and Kyle Clark logged victories on the oval located west of Sapulpa in Kellyville.
In the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA season opener on March 6-7 at Red Dirt Raceway Johnny Kent won his third OCRS career victory on Friday while Joe Bob Lee won his first career victory on Saturday.
Kent comes into this weekend leading the AmeriFlex / OCRS points chase by just one point over Casey Wills. Wills finished second to Kent on Friday after leading most of the way then followed up with a fifth place finish on Saturday just ahead of Kent in sixth.
