The Demon on a roll heading into Western World at Cocopah this weekend

Damion "the Demon" Gardner heads into this weekend as a favorite as the 9 time USAC/CRA Sprint Car champion heads to Arizona for the running of The 55th Annual Chapman Chevrolet Western World Championships presented by Yuma Insurance and Avanti Windows and Doors at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton Arizona. He comes in with some confidence as he looks to add another championship to his title belt as he leads the series into the final two weekends here at Cocopah and heads to Perris Auto Speedway for The 26th Annual Heimark Anheuser Busch Budweiser Oval Nationals. He also brings in a nice winning streak into the weekend at the Somerton speed plant as he won the last 5 races in a row at the 3/8th dirt oval dating back to 2013 with wins on 4/19 & 4/20 of 2016 and then on 1/27, 1/28, & 1/29 of 2022. It won't come easy for Mr. 9 time as the USAC National Series will be in town as well looking to stop the streak.
Racing action starts Thursday October 27th with a night of practice along with a pit party presented by Yuma Auto and RV then will conclude with a $6000 payday to the winner and concludes Saturday October 28th with a big !0,000 payday to the winner. Box office open all week at 10:00am to 3:00pm Tuesday - Thursday and at 10:00am Friday & Saturday also still available online at www.racecocopahspeedway.com.
