Fishers, IN | April 19, 2018 - On the heels of a thrilling USAC Midget victory from Tyler Courtney at the “Kokomo Grand Prix,” the CMR Midget and CMNR Sprint Car teams prepare for a first this weekend as they split up for two different events. Taking place on Friday night, the Fishers, Indiana group will divide into two parts as half of the team heads to Brownstown, Indiana with Tyler Courtney in the CMNR No. 7BC Sprint Car, while the other half makes the trip to Belleville, Illinois with Zeb Wise in the CMR No. 39BC Midget. A testament to the in-shop preparation from the dedicated crew, this serves as another turning point in the program as they deal with the pressure of fielding not only three top-of-the-line National Midgets, but a championship contending National Sprint Car as well.

Competing in his lone event of the weekend, Wise will be heading for Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois on Friday night. Racing with the POWRi National Midget League, the 15-year old Angola, Indiana native is no stranger to being the only CMR entrant on any given night. As the up-and-coming CMR Development Driver, Wise experienced several single-car nights in 2017, one which included his first-career midget victory at Montpelier Motor Speedway in July. Following Zeb’s appearance behind the wheel of the Priority Aviation No. 39BC on Friday, the young man will travel back to Indiana on Saturday to crew on “Sunshine’s” No. 7BC with the USAC National Sprint Car Series.

Also competing on Friday night, but back in the “Hoosier State,” Courtney will be vying for the “No Way Out 40” title at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. A $10,000 to win event, “Sunshine” and his No. 7BC bring in the hot hand as they have won two of their three races in 2018. Along with the confidence from his great start to the season, Courtney also holds a strong track record at the Brownstown facility. In four career “No Way Out 40” starts, the Indianapolis native has recorded three top-ten finishes, including a career-best of second-place at last year’s event.

With Zeb sitting idle on Saturday night, all eyes will return to “Sunshine” as the Clauson-Marshall-Newman Racing group looks for their third straight victory with the USAC National Sprint Car Series. Heading to Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, Indiana, the appearance will serve as the Midwest opener to the 2018 schedule for USAC Sprints. After back-to-back victories with the series in Florida, “Sunshine” will look to carry in his momentum as he chases down his first-career championship.

CLAUSON-MARSHALL RACING:
Race on. A saying that Bryan Clauson always related to his father Tim when our sport faced its darkest moments. It's what racers do, we continue to race on. Following Bryan's tragic passing in August of 2016, Tim Clauson and Richard Marshall never wavered when they formed Clauson-Marshall Racing. After unveiling a dream team at the 2017 Chili Bowl, CMR shifted focus to USAC. With a trio of Tyler Courtney, Justin Grant and Zeb Wise competing on the national level, the outstanding group will be chasing their first title together in season two. After a successful freshman campaign, the team will also be expanding to sprint cars in 2018 as Ryan Newman joined in an ownership role to form Clauson-Marshall-Newman Racing. CMNR will tackle the 2018 USAC National Sprint Car slate with Tyler Courtney behind the wheel.
