Nienhiser Nets Fifth Win of Season Friday Night at Lincoln Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Winning at your home track is sweet, and Paul Nienhiser was able to do it again on Friday night as he collected his third MOWA win of the season, and fifth overall by way of his feature event win at Lincoln Speedway.

“It is great to win at home, and Friday night we were able to do just that with a very strong racecar,” Paul Nienhiser said. “My drawing skill did not do us any favors, but my guys made sure to put a very strong car underneath me.”

Ninehiser kicked the MOWA action on Friday night by lining the CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil/Mason Sound/Innovating Design backed No. 9x machine up in the third row of his heat race.

With the leader running the boards, Nienhiser would go to work rolling the bottom of the track and testing out the middle as he was able to claw his way into second. Unwilling to simply go up top and follow, Nienhiser came oh-so-close to grabbing the heat win using the bottom groove, but settled for second and still earned high point honors heading to the redraw.

Having decent draw luck as of late, Nienhiser would come back to reality on Friday night as the lowly eight pill placed him in the fourth row for the feature event as he chased after his third MOWA feature event win of the season.

Having success on the bottom and through the middle in his heat race, Nienhiser would go to work running those same lines early in the feature event as he made quick work of his competition and raced his way to the front.

Able to give the top a try when he needed to, Nienhiser would put it in his back pocket as he got into second and began chasing after the race leader. On the 11th lap, Nienhiser would forge his way to the top spot where the Chapin, IL driver would then set sail.

Leaving the field in his wake, Nienhiser would simply cruise to victory lane as the win marked his fifth overall win in 2018.

“We were fast all night,” Nienhiser added. “A big thanks to all my family and friends that help us out, and to all of the partners that make this all possible.”

Nienhiser would like to thank CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil, Mason Sound, Innovative Design, Bradshaw Custom Pumping, Wessler Bros. Agency, Bob Hawks Auto Body, Littleton Storm & Timber, Fierce Herbicide, Sunstoppers Window Tinting, Engler Machine and Tool, FK Indy, Rider Racing Engines, Kaeding Performance, and Steve Thomas Racing for their continued support.

2018 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-27, Wins-5, Top 5’s-5, Top 10’s-9

ON TAP: Nienhiser is slated to travel to US 36 Speedway on Friday night with the ASCS Warrior Region and has Knoxville Raceway on his schedule for Saturday.
