Rule Update

?To clarify, regarding the GM604, the GM #19318604 or #88958604 are the two GM part numbers. The engine can NOT be modified or altered in any way. All parts must be OEM to the engine without any grinding, milling, polishing, or altering of any kind. All parts used on thge 604 must be OEM.
The only exceptions are as follows:

• Valve Covers
• Steel Timing Chain cover is allowed
• Oil Pan
• Head Gaskets may be of altered thickness to achieve the 10.1 compression
  -Aftermarket Steel Harmonic Balancers are allowed, though it should be noted that GM now makes a 6 3/4" option #12551537

All water pumps must be belt driven

Pistons - Mahle part number # MHL930128xx (note the xx dictates the piston size.

Valve Springs
(GM now has replaced the blue beehive spring, new part #19420455 (set of 16), old part #12625033 (set of 16)
Conversion kit from early design flat top spring to beehive is #19411192
The GM non-behive is still legal at this point but will be phased out eventually

Camshaft GM # 10185071

Carb - Tony sent out a nice video via email to teams recently. Any team that has a Quick Fuel built by Pro Form needs to contact Tony and have them checked. These woulkd be older carbs and Quick Fuel no longer uses them. They are inconsitent in machining and some have not passed tech. We believe Quick Fuel will help replace these. It is the TEAMS responsibility to get with Tony and get them checked. We have had a few of these fail post race tech, but in wanting to be sure we were correct we sent them to Quick Fuel to confirm before DQing. Quick Fuel saved a few teams saying it was a machining error on their end. This should only happen on a Pro Form item. So now it's on the TEAMS to be sure their carb passes tech. If a Quick Fuel by Pro Form carb fails tech moving forward, the team will be disqualified as they were warned to have this checked.

Magnetos will continue to be permitted, though if we run into problems with rev limiters on these we may need to re-evaluate.

We have a great series here and I couldn't be any prouder as to what we have created. Moving forward, we believe these engine rules will make it easier for the racer and us as officials. Anyone having to make more than a cam change, pushed it too far.
Were working on the schedule now, and we are so blessed to have Wilmot as a home track, and they see what we've all created too. Angell Park's future looks bright again too and I'm confident we'll be there 3-4 times in 2021.

Unsure what we're doing on a banquet, but we'll do something. We will get everyone their point fund checks before Christmas if we can't have a banquet before then, but at some point we absoliutely will have something and pay tribute to those who accomplished so much is 2020.

The 410 may have something small on their own too, as with indoor covid restrictions our big combined banquet won't fly, and limiting the combined one to attendance at the Hilton doesn't bring in enough revenue for us to pay for it. The 410 may do a small 3-4 person per team banquet somewhere small which can be aired on FLO, for those who couldn't attend because of crowd limit. I know Jeff Fischer has some great footage of the wingLESS shows run on FLO too, so we should have a great video.

AutoMeter is back on for 2021, and Gandrud will be providing an engine again too.
