Jacob Hall & Adam Stricker Garner 2022 Brucebilt Iron-Man Modified Series Titles

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (December 24, 2022)- The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series recently completed its 2022 and second-generation driver Jacob Hall of Wayland, KY would win his first Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series championship in his first ever attempt at running the full tour.

The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Northern Series recently completed its inaugural season and Adam Stricker of Batavia, OH would put his name in the record books as the first ever champion with the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Northern Series.

Jacob Hall would be a mark of consistency throughout the 2022 season. While not scoring a series feature event win, Hall would finish in the top ten in eight of the nine series events, with four top five feature event finishes, with the 20-year-old second-generation speedster having his best finish of a second place at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on July 2. Hall’s championship came in one of the tightest points races in series history, as Hall, Peyton Harlow, and Ben Harmon were only separated by 20 points entering the final event at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on November 26. Hall’s winning championship effort for 2022 would come behind the wheel of a Stealth Race Car powered by a Hall Racing Engine and would carry sponsorship from Weststar Lubricants, Victory Racing Shocks, SEBCO Inc., Lockdown Security, and Bentley Motorsports.

Peyton Harlow of Glasgow, KY would finish as the 2022 Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series championship runner-up. The 24-year-old second-generation racer would total seven top ten feature finishes, with five of those finishes being top five efforts, while his best series feature finish would be a third on two occasions (Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on May 14 and Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY on September 30). Ben Harmon of Brooks, KY would claim the third position in final series points for the 2022 season as the 19-year-old third generation racer would tally seven top ten series feature finishes for the season, while four of those would be top five finishes, with his best finish would be a third place at Lake Cumberland Speedway on July 2.

Former Late Model veteran racer Brandon Kinzer, who now resides in Freeport, FL, would finish fourth in the final series points for 2022 after finishing fifth with the tour in 2021. The 44-year-old driver would score six top ten feature finishes, with four of those being top five efforts. Kinzer would claim one tour victory during the season and that would come at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA on April 30. First year series competitor Reece Ogle of Sevierville, TN would fifth in the final tour points as the 20-year-old second generation racer would have two top ten finishes with the series during the season, with his best finish being an eighth place at Ponderosa Speedway on September 30.

For the 2022 Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series season, a total of 114 different drivers competed with the tour and the average car count per event would be 27.1 entries, with the high car count being 53 (which is a series record) at the Area 51 event at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on July 16. A total of eight different drivers would score series event wins in the nine tour events completed, with only one driver scoring more than one victory (Cole Falloway of Owensboro, KY-2).

For the 24-year-old, Stricker would score two top ten finishes in series action for the 2022 season, with both of those being winning efforts as Stricker won the first two events on the tour for the season at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH on June 24 and June 25. Stricker would drive two different cars on his way to the title, with one of those being the Gary Christian owned Elite Chassis powered by a Bullock Race Engine with sponsorship from Able Air, Frios Gourment Pops, Burlile Petroleum, Brothers Electrical, Accucut Services, Godfrey’s Discount, and Finish Line Concrete. The other car Stricker would drive to the championship would be his family-owned Elite Chassis powered by a Darrell Hoffman Race Engine with sponsorship from B&B Auto Care, Valvoline, Stainless Craft LLC, Naylor Concrete, and Valvoline. Stricker would also win the biggest event in Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Modified Series when he claimed the Area 51 victory with the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on July 16, paying a series record $5,151 to win.

Cole Falloway of Owensboro, KY would finish second in the 2022 Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Northern Series points chase. The 20-year-old fourth generation speedster would have three top five series feature finishes and best series feature finishes would be a pair of second place efforts at Atomic Speedway on June 24 and June 25. Spencer Flowers of Grove City, OH would come home third in the final series points for 2022, with three top ten series finishes and one top five feature finish and that would come at Atomic Speedway on June 24 with a fifth place performance.

K.C. Burdette of Parkersburg, WV would finish fourth in the final tour points for the season. Burdette would score two top five feature finishes with the series, with both of those being series feature event victories, coming at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH on July 30 and the series finale at Atomic Speedway on September 17. Veteran racer Dave Pinkerton of Chillicothe, OH would complete the top five is Northern Series points for 2022, with the 51-year-old driver would score one top five series finish and that would come at Atomic Speedway on June 24.

For the first year of the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Northern Series season (only five of the ten scheduled events would be completed due to rainouts), a total of 81 different drivers competed with the tour and the average car count per event would be 22.8 entries, with the high car count being 28 at the tour’s final event of the season at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH on September 17. A total of three different drivers would score series event wins in the five tour events completed, with two drivers scoring more than one victory (Adam Stricker at Atomic Speedway June 24 and June 25 and K.C. Burdette at Portsmouth Raceway Park on July 30 at Atomic Speedway on September 17).
