April 6, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Middlebourne, WV)...After getting cancelled three times in recent years, the inaugural "RUSH Night" is scheduled once again to take place this Saturday night (April 10) at "The Bulling" at Tyler County Speedway. It'll be a Pace Performance RUSH Racing Series together with Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC doubleheader featuring the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds in a Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Touring Series event along with the RUSH Sprint Cars in an Equipment Rental Options Weekly Series show. Warm-ups are slated for 6 p.m.

The Pace RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will begin their eighth year of competition this Saturday night when they travel to the state of West Virginia for the first time in Series history! In a highly-anticipated event on the 1/4-mile, Tyler County will become the 12th different speedway to host an event all-time. This will be the first time since the inaugural 2014 season at America's Motorsports Park in Clearfield, Pa. that the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds have raced on a 1/4-mile track.

Saturday will not only kick-off the 2021 Hovis Touring Series chase, but will also award Hovis Weekly Series points towards that $3,500 to-win championship. At least 35 events make up the 2021 Weekly Series Championship. The 25-lap feature on Saturday night will pay $800 to-win. Chas Wolbert is the defending Weekly Series Champion, while Garrett Krummert has won the last two Tour titles.

RUSH Sportsman Modified drivers will begin to accumulate chances towards the complete race ready Chevrolet Performance 602 Sportsman Modified crate engine package (carb-to-pan) valued at $8,500+ from Pace Performance that will be given away at season's end to a lucky racer. The "Loyalty Program" is presented by Waterstone Mortgage of Hermitage.

Meanwhile, the Pace RUSH Sprint Cars will also open their fourth season in Series history on Saturday at Tyler County as well. A record 37 events are scheduled at 11 different speedways in four states; all paying at least $600 to-win. Also a record number of participants are expected including many new racers for various backgrounds.

Equipment Rental Options returns to present the $20,000+ Weekly Series points fund that will begin to award points for drivers' best 12 finishes throughout 2021 as the chase for the $5,000 title begins on Saturday. In 2018, Gale Ruth, Jr. won the inaugural event at Tyler County, while last year saw Jeremy Weaver win both events. Chad Ruhlman, who won the first two RUSH Sprint Championships, is back after taking last year off; and is now driving for Tim Engles. Weaver won the 2020 title for car owner Ted Hull, who will now have former "410" Sprint Car great, Rod George, behind the wheel of the #41. The 20-lap feature will pay $600 to-win. The RUSH Sprint Cars will make a second appearance at "The Bullring" on May 15.

"Our racers are really looking forward to not only opening the season on Saturday night but doing so at Tyler County," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "We have to thank Tyler County for allowing both divisions the opportunity to compete on their 'bullring' as part of RUSH Night. The Sprint Car drivers really enjoyed racing there in years past and are eager to return, while several of our RUSH Modified racers have always inquired about the opportunity to race at Tyler County. This night is certainly going to be a unique show for Tyler County's fans that don't get the opportunity to see the center-steer Modifieds or Sprint Cars compete in their area."

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. A drivers meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. with warm-ups at 6 and group qualifying for the Mods to follow. The AMB/MyLaps transponders will be used for both classes. There will be a $35 entry fee for the Mods. Pit passes are $32. Weekly Series membership is $125 for each class. Modifieds can join both the Weekly and Touring for $225.
