SOMERSET, KY – July 30, 2018 – The MARS Super Late Model Racing Series will make their first-ever appearance at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN for the MARS Super Late Model Hall of Fame Weekend presented by J.B.’s Salvage of Bloomington, IN event on Friday August 3, with the forty-lap feature contest paying $3,000 to win and $300 to start. The event will be co-sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com.

The Hoosier State Hall of Fame Weekend will conclude on Saturday August 4 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN with the 14 th Annual Hall of Fame Classic, paying $10,000 to win and $500 to start.

This will mark the first Super Late Model event that has been contested at Bloomington Speedway since May 11, 2007 when the Northern Allstars Late Model Series competed at the track, with Fairbury, IL native Wes Steidinger of Fairbury, IL claiming the victory that evening.

As part of this event at Bloomington Speedway on Friday August 3, the track will also be hosting Military Appreciation Night, with members of the U.S. Army being involved in the evening’s opening ceremonies and there will be military equipment on display as well.

The MARS Super Late Model Racing Series will be in action at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN on Friday August 3 for the MARS Super Late Hall of Fame Weekend presented by J.B.’s Salvage event, paying $3,000 to win and $300 to start the forty-lap Super Late Model main event. In addition to the MARS Super Late Model Racing Series being in competition at Bloomington Speedway on Friday August 3, the track’s Open Wheel Modifieds and Super Stocks, along with the MMSA Mini-Sprints and Bombers, will also be in competition. The pit area will open at 4:30 p.m. and the general admission will open at 5:30 p.m., with the driver’s meeting set for 6:15 p.m., with practice laps and time trials to follow, with green flag racing set for 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices at Bloomington Speedway on Friday August 3 for the MARS Super Late Model Hall of Fame Weekend presented by J.B.’s Salvage in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free with a paid adult, while a pit pass will be $30.

The Super Late Model portion of the program will be sanctioned by the MARS Super Late Model Racing Series. The entry fee will be $100, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Super Late Model tire rules will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 (LO3) on the left front, right front, and left rear and 1350 (LO3), 1600 (LO6), and LM40 on right rear (crate 21 is also legal); American Racer 48 on the left front, right front, and left rear and 56 on the right rear. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $100 tow money.
