For Immediate Release

(Warrensburg, Missouri) Just one event remains this season at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS), and it is a big one! The first-ever Big Bad B-Mod Blowout presented by Midwest Coatings takes place on Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th with B-Mods taking center stage for the weekend.

From the onset, one of the sponsorship goals for this event was to payout the top eight dash for the highest passing points drivers from night one heat races. This race will take place at the end of the night on Friday and thanks to the generous contribution of Darrell Williams of Maven Logistics, this vision is now a reality! All eight finishing positions will receive payout as they race their way to the first four rows of Saturday’s B-Mod Blowout Finale! The top 8 dash for the pole will pay $300 to win, $200 for 2nd, $150 for 3rd, $100 for 4th, $75 for 5th, $65 for 6th, $60 for 7th, and 50 for 8th!

In addition to the dash payout, each heat race winner will receive $20 for picking up the win in the heat race rounds with second place in each heat picking up an extra $10 in The Muffler Shoppe Heat race rounds. This payout is made possible by the generosity of The Muffler Shoppe Auto Service & Sales in Higginsville, Missouri.
The Muffler Shoppe was established in 1986 and has been family run ever since. The Muffler Shoppe is located at 2567 Highway 13 Blvd in Higginsville, Missouri, and offers Computerized Alignment Checks for 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive vehicles and customized stainless exhaust systems. The Shoppe is also a Full-Service NAPA AUTO Care Center. Call (660) 584-6112 for an appointment today! The Muffler Shoppe is a pillar of its community and is an active supporter of the Lafayette County Cancer Coalition and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If additional sponsors come on board for this event, we will update and announce through the CMS Facebook Page and Website on any purse bumps or increases. If you are a small business and would like more information regarding our business partner offerings for this weekend, there’s still plenty of time to get involved. On Friday, September 25th, B-Mods compete in three rounds of heat races using a total accumulated passing points system to set the stage for the pole dash and the night two event as needed leading to the $3,000-to-win finale on Saturday. Joining in on the Friday action are the Pure Stocks as they compete in a 20-lap, $500-to-win special event. In addition, Street Stocks will compete for added purse money. Mod-Lites will also compete in the first of two straight nights of action.

On Saturday, racing resumes with the B-Mod preliminary events as needed to set the starting grid for the 35-lap, big-money finale. A-Mods join in on the action with Mod-Lites also on the race program. Street Stocks compete for $500-to-win on Saturday as over $800 has been added to the purse for the finishing positions. Mod-Lites return for a second night while Pure Stocks are in action for their annual track special $500-to-win event.

Prior to the weekend beginning, CMS will host a Thursday night practice session at the track from 6 to 9 p.m. All pit passes are $20 for this event and there will be no concessions available. The practice session is open to all race divisions. Pit gates will open at 5 p.m. for this event, in which live timing will be available for drivers to track their lap times throughout the practice sessions. The track will be prepped and in race-ready condition.

After the races on Friday, CMS will host an after-race BYOB party in the front stretch party barn. This event is for racers, crew personnel, and race fans only. Fun and games and music will fill the night.

On Saturday, CMS will host a post-race bonfire party, honoring the top drivers in each of the weekly racing divisions for the 2020 season with awards for the drivers and recognition for track champions. Promoters Earl and Susan walls will provide beer and hot dogs and dessert treats for the event for attendees. All drivers who finished in the top ten-point standings in each of the weekly race divisions at CMS will receive money for their finishing divisions; however, drivers must be present to collect their prize money. Prize money WILL NOT be mailed out!

Since Pure Stocks are going to be present on Friday night, they may collect their top ten points money on Friday as part of the Pure Stock special event. However, if Pure Stock drivers cannot make it to the Friday races, they may come to the bonfire season championship party on Saturday to collect their winnings if they finished in the top ten final point standings this season.

Special event pricing is in effect the rest of the year. Adult general admission $15, military w/I.D. and seniors 65 to 74 $12, Kids ages 6 to 12 $5, five and under and 75 and older free in the grandstands. All pit passes $40. There is a special one-time offer on Friday night for a two-night pit pass priced at $75. This band must be worn both nights at all times while in the pit area, no exceptions.

Weekend Timeline: Pit Gates open at 4:30 followed by Grandstands at 5. Driver Pill Draw cutoff is 6:15 (no passing points awarded if driver checks in late), Pit Meeting at 6:30, followed by practice Hot Laps at 7, and racing approximately 7:30.

A special two-night pit pass has been approved for the weekend and will be available for drivers and crew personnel entering the pit area. The two-day pass is available for $75. B-Mod drivers have a $150 entry fee, which includes both night’s pit pass and the event entry fee. B-Mod drivers must compete in night one heat races to be eligible to compete on night two as there will be no new drivers on night two permitted!

A special event shirt was designed for the 1st Annual Big Bad B-Mod Blowout by New Vision Custom Shirts. There is a $25 entry fee for non-track registered drivers in the Pure Stock division. All track registered drivers in the Pure Stock division for 2020 will not have an entry fee. Entry fee for Pure Stock entrants DO NOT include pit pass. All pit passes are sold separately for $40 per night.

CMS created a special B-Mod Blowout event tab on it’s website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net. The special event information page features the order of events, complete payouts for all classes and events, the detailed event information and CMS general track rules and good-to-know information.

Camping is permitted at CMS on either side of the speedway. There are no fees or hookups. Campers are responsible for removal of all waste and personal property when departing the premises. Concessions are available on both sides of the speedway, which features free parking.

CMS is already hard at work on building the 2021 race schedule, which will be announced at the conclusion of the race season. The schedule will feature something for everyone, including special events for the 2021 weekly race divisions, sprint cars, and late models!
