(Warrensburg, Missouri) Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) officials met on Saturday to discuss additional plans for the 2022 coming race season. The biggest news to unveil for next season includes the addition of the E-Mod class, which will balance out the four-classes of weekly racing at CMS along with B-Mods, POWRi Super Stocks, and Pure Stocks. A variety of guest classes and special events will complete the season schedule.

Although plans for rules are still in discussion, the current plan is for CMS to utilize the MO-KAN E-Mod rules with the inclusion of the southern-based Midwest Modz rules to ensure fair, quality, and quantity-driven racing among the class.

CMS officials announce some slight modifications to the CMS general rules, which will be updated and posted at www.centralmissourispeedway.net in the coming days. Changes include all weekly racing division heat races advance to eight laps while all weekly racing main events are now 20 laps with the officials’ discretion to decrease laps as needed if racing lacks in consistent green-flag action. The passing points system will continue factoring 16 cars into the a-main events from heat races in times when there are 25 cars or more for weekly racing. B-Main events will determine the remaining eight positions to fill out the 24-car starting fields for all weekly racing.

CMS is in search of a new technical inspector beginning with the 2022 season. Serious applicants only may apply by contacting CMS owner and promoter Earl Walls at 816.229.1338. No calls after 8 p.m. please.
