Inside Line Promotions – McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. (June 12, 2018) – Jack Dover posted back-to-back wins last weekend for the second time this season.

Dover’s pair of triumphs give him four victories in the last six races – during the span of 23 days – and all four wins came in different states.

“It’s been really good,” he said. “The momentum has been good and the confidence has been there. We’re learning new stuff with this car and it’s getting better and better every week. I feel like I can go out there and win any given night. It’s all a head game in racing. Knowing that I have a car capable of winning every night is huge.”

The action began on Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., for the annual ASCS Warrior Region Bud Shootout.

“I always love going to that show,” he said. “It’s a good event and we’ve won it five or six times.

“In the heat race we got a bad start and Jason Martin being on the front row is tough to beat. We got up to second, which was good enough for the feature redraw.”

Dover’s runner-up result from fourth in a heat race earned a spot into the feature redraw. He pulled the No. 2 to start the A Main on the outside of the front row in the Chris Bowers’ owned No. 81.

“We changed some stuff on the setup for the feature,” he said. “We ran the top side the whole race. We had a yellow about 10 laps in. I screwed up and a guy got by me. He led for three or four laps. I went back up top and never looked back. We got in traffic with five laps to go. I really slowed my pace down because there was a bad hole in turn three. I was really having to slow it for that. The track was tricky and I wasn’t going to press the issue unless I had to.”

Dover’s victory was his fourth in the last five races at U.S. 36 Raceway dating back to August 2013.

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Junction Motor Speedway, which hosted a Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints event.

“Sadly we only had nine cars,” he said. “We decided at the pit meeting to have two heat races to put on a show for the fans. The track was really heavy and fast.”

Dover advanced from fourth to second in his first heat race and he won his second heat after starting on the outside of the front row. That earned a spot into the feature redraw and for the second straight night he got the No. 2.

“Ryan Roberts led 10 or 12 laps and we got into traffic,” he said. “I took my car to the bottom in turns three and four. I didn’t think it’d stick, but it stuck and I never had to lift. I was able to get underneath Ryan and the lapped car. The track was so good I never lifted once.”

Dover led the second half of the race to garner his second series win of the season to extend his lead in the championship standings.

Dover is scheduled to race this Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., where he charged from 16th to second during his season debut on June 1, and Saturday at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kan., with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com.
