Terrell maintains status in All Pro series as new car owner steps in

[b SEBASTOPOL, CA 7-10-10] - Up until the final hours, Sebastopol's Bradley Terrell was uncertain of his future in the Petaluma Speedway All Pro Sprint Car Series. After a broken motor the week before, Terrell was in search of a ride or a motor to continue his campaign for the 2010 track championship. In the closing hours, the generous race community stepped up to the place.

When word was out that Terrell's point lead was in jeopardy of a forfeit the racing community pulled together to offer their resources to help the two time bridesmaid to the track championship maintain his championship campaign. By the end of the week, Terrell was able to leave his family owned #43 parked in the shop and strapped into the seat of Scotty Dupont's #3 sprint car last Saturday night.

"I can't thank Scotty Dupont enough for the opportunity to use this car, he saved us," said Terrell. "We had a few different people offer help and it was really appreciated. It's nice to know that so many people that you actually race against are there to help you out. Scotty has been kind enough to let us finish the season out in this car so that's our plan."

For Terrell, it doesn't matter what car he drives at Petaluma Speedway. The Analy High School graduate is a young master behind the wheel of anything with a motor. Dupont's competitive sprint car features the same chassis that Terrell used last year while racing for veteran car owner Jim VanLare so he was quite familiar with its characteristics.

"The car was great from the start of the night," said Terrell. "This is the same chassis I drove all of last year so it was perfect for me to use. I'm really grateful for their generosity. I'm hoping we can get a win here in the next week or two. Everyone could use that."

In Saturday's All Pro Series event, Terrell was in regular form. During qualifying Terrell clocked a 12:981 second lap to secure the tenth position on the roster. In the eight lap heat race he took home the win and was locked and loaded for the feature event.

Starting in the eighth position, Terrell wasted no time in working his way towards the top five on Saturday night. He moved into sixth place on the second lap and moved into the coveted top five by the third circuit of the event. After working his way to fourth on the 15th lap, Terrell began pursuing Camron Mendes for the third position. On the 22nd lap Terrell made his successful move and moved into the third position where he remained all the way to the checkered flag.

Without the support of sponsors, racing would not be a possibility for Bradley Terrell and the team is currently seeking additional sponsorship to complete the year while they are grateful for their longtime supporters. Among his marketing partners are Millhouse Glass, the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, Randy Hanson Auto Body and Paint. Vanlare Steering Repair, A1 Shower and Mirror Incorporated, Knockout Signs, Santa Rosa Moving & Storage, Altes Engineering, and 4 Wheel Parts.
