Weekly Racing Results - August 6, 2016
It was a mixed week for the k00 machine. We had a great night Friday, August 5th at Beatrice Speedway. It was our first run this year at Beatrice so we had to start in the rear. Made the A feature out of our heat. Started 18th in the A and worked our way through the field for a 4th place finish. The car ran great and was crazy fast. We were excited to bring some of this speed to Eagle Raceway the next night. However, our luck ran out. In the first heat, the car slid up the track in turn 3 and we made contact with another car on the track. No major damage on either car and we were able to finish the heat in the 3rd position. Unfortunately, although the contact was unintentional we were penalized 2 spots for rough driving. This put us in the B feature. Luckily, we found some of that speed again and cleared the field to win the B. Now on to the A. We started, 9th row inside and just had no luck getting through the field tonight. Multiple cautions and avoided wrecks left us with a 17th place finish. We will be back out at Beatrice Speedway this week on Friday and then on to Eagle on Saturday.
