SawBlade.com Sponsored Bogucki Starts ASCS National Tour Season With Two Top 10s

Inside Line Promotions – OSBORN, Mo. (April 30, 2019) – Scott Bogucki passed a lot of cars every time he hit the track to open the 2019 Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season last week when he posted a pair of top-six finishes.

It began on Thursday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., where the SawBlade.com sponsored team advanced from sixth to fourth place in a heat race before charging from 14th to a sixth-place finish in the main event.

“We were really good on the bottom and when I got to the faster cars I went to the top,” Bogucki said. “Jack (Mccarthy, the crew chief) said I should have stayed on the bottom and I would have finished in the top three, but I didn’t feel like I was gaining on the leaders.”

The following night Bogucki won a heat race and raced to a fifth-place feature finish at U.S. 36 Raceway.

“We were really, really good and ran second a majority of the race,” he said. “I probably should have finished at least second. But I was too good too early and the car got too loose at the end and I had bad luck with lapped traffic.

“It was a nice start to the year. We went forward both nights and didn’t tear anything up.”

The ASCS National Tour travels east this week for races on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and on Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa.

“I hope the weather gets better out east,” Bogucki said. “That’s a tough couple of races where we get stout competition from the regulars. It’s a huge challenge.”
