Merrittville Speedway to Host Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
THOROLD, Ontario.....Merrittville Speedway is proud to announce the Annual Easter Egg Hunt to be held March 30th, 2024. For 25 years Steve Dubé, VP of the Welland Volunteer Firefighter Club has coordinated the Welland Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Merritt Island. This event was a huge success in the city with thousands of people attending every year.
Since the pandemic, the event was halted and has been difficult to bring back. In lieu of this, the club is proud to be bringing the hunt back with a new twist!
New hosts, Merrittville Speedway owners Don and Lorraine Spiece have a history of giving back to the community by hosting events and giving thousands of gifts to kids for Christmas. This Easter Egg Hunt Event will be another opportunity to give out prizes to kids and families while providing a great family event for FREE!
This year’s Easter Egg Hunt event will take place Saturday March 30th 10am 2pm at Merrittville Speedway. This is a FREE ADMISSION event for kids and families in the Niagara Region and beyond.
The main attraction will be our scheduled egg hunts for each age category plus a grand family hunt. Upon completion of the hunt, each child participant and family team participating will go home with a sweet prize! Along with the egg hunts, there will be a variety of activities for the entire family. Carnival games, Easter Bunny visits, mascots, tram rides, live trivia, stage entertainment, face painting, balloon animals, fire trucks, race car displays, candy treats, food, and more!
Moreover, all donations raised will be provided to Niagara Nutritional Partners – a local non-profit organization providing school lunches/snacks to children across the region. Based on past egg hunts and current followings at our new venue we are expecting 2000+ people in attendance of this event.
