(Kansas City, Kansas) Lakeside Speedway has a busy week planned for fans of multiple types of racing, including sprint cars on Tuesday, weekly racing during the Janet Billings Memorial and the E-Mod explosion on Friday, and motorcycles on Saturday!

The Billings Family has raised extra money for the purse that will be distributed amongst all Pure Stock participants Friday. The event honors the family’s loved one Janet Billings, who was tragically taken from this life all too early in the winter of 2014.

The week of excitement begins Tuesday, August 11th with the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Week, featuring ASCS 360 Sprint Cars plus B-Mods and Stock Cars. Pits Open at 4 p.m., General Admission at 5 p.m., Hot Laps at 7 p.m., Qualifying at 7:30 p.m., and Racing at 8 p.m. Tickets will be available day of event only at the ticket booth. General Admission for Adults 15 and older is $20, Seniors $15, Kids 11-14 $10, Kids 10 and under free. Ages 0-17 must have signed Minor Release to enter pits. For Suites and Terrace availability, call (913) 299-9206.

Racing resumes with Lakeside’s weekly program on Friday, which also includes the Janet Billings Memorial and make-up event for the E-Mod explosion after last week’s rainout. This special event for E-Mods will pay $750 to the winner. If there are 24 or more cars signed in for the event, the winner’s share will increase to a whopping $1,000 payday!

Speaking of last weekend’s weathered-out event, fans who attended last Friday’s event get in free in the grandstands if they kept their wristbands. The E-Mod Explosion features a purse sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts. The event will pay $150 to start if there are 24 or more cars registered for racing.

A $25 registration fee applies to non-Lakeside Speedway track-registered E-Mod drivers and the Mo-Kan E-Mod Rules apply to all competitors. All entrants are subject to technical inspection at any time throughout the race program. Tow money for the E-Mod event is $50. Also joining the Friday program are A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Grand Nationals, and Pure Stocks for their weekly championship racing. All classes will compete in preliminary heat races and main events throughout the night.
