(Kansas City, Kansas) This Friday at Lakeside Speedway is Metro Pawn and Metro Metals night at the races, featuring A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, E-Mods, and Grand Nationals for weekly championship racing.

Last week’s Janet Billings Memorial produced some outstanding events and a full field of cars in the pits. This weekend’s action is expected to follow suit with the drivers competing in preliminary heat races and main events in all divisions.

The makeup event for the Weld Memorial featuring the USAC Midwest Wingless Sprints and Kid’s Night takes place the following Friday, August 28th. Lakeside Speedway is currently seeking volunteers and donations for the kid’s night activities. Donations should be items that school-aged children can use for school, hero cards and race pictures, and other items kids ages toddler to age 12 will enjoy. Contact the main office for additional details and donation specifics at 913-299-9206.

Here is a look at the top five standings in each of the car classes scheduled to compete this weekend.
