Abottstown, PA – (June 2, 2010) --- “The Edge” would shine Wednesday night, as the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series made their first visit ever to the Lincoln Speedway’s 3/8-mile dirt oval. This race would also mark the first time that Brian Montieth would race without the wing. More importantly, his evening proved why he and the Premier Auto Works Racing team are considered one of the best teams in the business.

The team immediately showed the competition that they were going to be a force to be reckoned with as Brian’s diversity as a driver shined down onto the Lincoln Speedway clay in hot laps. The Scott Zellers wrenched machine was the fourth quickest car overall in the hot lap sessions. The more comfortable that the hard working team got Brian, the faster he would get. Montieth stormed to the eight-quickest time of the evening, out of the 24 cars that tripped the timing light, clocking in at 16.513 seconds.

Brian would garner a feature transfer spot after finishing third in his eight-lap heat race, starting him eight in the 40-lap feature. When the field took the green flag, Montieth began to look for the quickest way around the speedway. The two-time track champion would find it, therefore moving himself into the fifth spot. Brian kept his cool as late race cautions would put USAC National point’s leader, Damion Gardner, on his rear-bumper. But Montieth would remain solid and unshaken and brought home a solid fifth place finish for car owner Jerry Parrish and the Premier Auto Works Racing team.

"This is the first time I’ve stepped in one of these," said Montieth over the PA system. "Honestly, I’ve never even seen these guys run. My crew was telling me to be sure and lift way before the turns to pitch it into the turns. Last night, I was pretty nervous, and we were on You-Tube watching you guys out in Indiana and trying to get some clue of what was going on. I had a blast! It was definitely fun!"
