Luckman, DeBenedetti, And Peery Capture August 12th Wins At SOS
White City, Oregon- Southern Oregon Speedway opened the Super Showdown weekend on Friday, August 12th. Three classes were on the card: Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and IMCA Northern SportMods.

Coos Bay chauffeur Preston Luckman took care of business in the Super Late Models. Joey Tanner, from Portland and running for the Mitchell family, hit the line ahead of Lebanon’s McLain Beaudoin. Rich McCoy of Medford and Bob Dees were the remainder of the top five, in fourth and fifth.

Rogue River veteran Jon DeBenedetti opened up his 2022 winning account in the IMCA Modified ranks. Medford’s Mark Wauge and Zach Fettinger of Klamath Falls were second and third. Jeffrey Hudson, from Keno and racing for Don Roemer, placed fourth while Preston Luckman, pulling double duty, was fifth.

Ryan Peery visited victory lane for the third occasion at SOS. It is the Yreka, California teenager’s second consecutive victory at the track. Ethan Killingsworth, also from Yreka, ended the night second, with Brookings driver Matt Sanders grabbing third.
Isaac Sanders beat out Salem’s Trevor Point for fourth.

Southern Oregon Speedway is back on Saturday, August 13th, for night two of the Super Showdown. Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and Mini Stock will compete. In addition, IMCA Northern SportMods have also been added to the bill. For more information, log on to www.southernoregonmotorsports.com.
