An All-Star is Born
Confidence is high as we go into Knoxville; many Eagle Motorsports teams boast recent wins. Lead by a new All-Star, Thomas Kennedy bested a field of stars at Buffalo River Race Park and scored the biggest win of his young career from the eighth starting position. Mark Dobmeier claimed another two-win weekend, completing both Grand Forks and Huset’s in the point position. Doug Lovegrove doubled up by claiming the flag for a second week in a row at Eagle Raceway with the Racesaver 305 division, and Travis Philo earned his second win at Attica Raceway Park. Zach Daum scored another POWRi victory in his Eagle midget; another Illinois native, Kaley Gharst, traveled north to compete in two classes, winning the 360 portion of the Jackson Speedway event in a Mike Sandvig owned ride. Steve Poirier returned to his winning ways with the ESS at Mohawk International Raceway, and Jay Russell was the class of the field at US 36 Speedway, earning his first Warrior Region ASCS prize.
