Clayton Stuckey heads West to Vado Speedway Park for 2024 opener
Kicking off his 2024 racing season early, Clayton Stuckey invaded Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park on Saturday afternoon for the first round of the 18th-annual Wild West Shootout.
With a stacked 44-car field on hand, Stuckey qualified 10th-fastest in his group but fell back in his heat which eventually relegated him an eighth-place finish in his B-Main.
Looking to make the show on Sunday, Clayton was able to nab an A-Main transfer position in his B-main. For his first $11,000-to-win show of the week, Stuckey recorded a 21st-place outing.
