Rauch Leads ‘20ish’ Midget Drivers From RMMRA Into TBJ Promotions’ Midget Round Up

Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (June 25, 2020) – Another stellar field of midgets is expected to converge upon Airport Raceway next week during the 5th annual Midget Round Up presented by Burtis Motor Company.
The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League and the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association are co-sanctioning the midget portion of the TBJ Promotions’ doubleheader at the oval in Garden City, Kan., on July 3-4.
Keith Rauch headlines a list of “20ish” drivers making the trip from the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association. Rauch is the defending series champion and he has claimed a whopping 11 career titles with the series.
However, a win during the Midget Round Up has evaded him. Rauch has earned multiple podium finishes at the bullring and his highlight last year was a seventh-place showing.
“It’s huge,” said Rauch, who is also the vice president of the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association. “It’s grown over the years. It’s definitely turned into a big event. Tony (Bruce Jr.) has done a hell of a job.”
Rauch will be one of approximately 30-plus total midget racers hungry for a triumph.
NOW600 Series Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A Class micro sprints will also be competing both days. It was recently announced that the Winged ‘A’ Class main event is named in honor of the late Brandon Barbo.
Tickets for the 5th annual Midget Round Up are $15 for adults on July 3 and $20 on July 4. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free both nights.
The front gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. each night.
