LARSON VAULTS TO 2ND IN FINAL NDC POINTS

Kyle Larson’s fourth-place finish in Thursday night’s “Turkey Night Grand Prix” vaulted him from fourth to second in the final 2011 USAC National Drivers Championship and the $20,000 cash prize the position affords. Prizes will be distributed at the USAC “Night of Champions” Awards Banquet in Indianapolis, Ind. December 9.

Bryan Clauson finish third in Thursday’s USAC’s National eason finale at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif., completing his drive to his second USAC National Drivers Championship. He will receive his $40,000 cash prize and a yet-to-be announced scholarship from INDYCAR at the December 9 “Night of Champions.”

Drivers finishing third through 10th in the final standings and also earning year-end cash bonuses included Chris Windom (3rd), Levi Jones (4th), Tracy Hines (5th), Bobby East (6th), Jerry Coons Jr. (7th), Darren Hagen (8th), Hunter Schuerenberg (9th) and Jon Stanbrough (10th).
