Martin fifth on Night One of Ron Jenkins Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway
For Labor Day weekend, Logan Martin invaded Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Ron Jenkins Memorial with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association.
With 34 MLRA Late Models signed in, Martin laid down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying before losing a couple spots in his heat race. Rolling off 10th in the short 30-lap feature, Logan moved forward five positions to land inside the Top-5 in fifth.
For Saturday's $11,000-to-win show, Logan nabbed the final transfer spot in his heat but only completed 27 of the 40 scheduled laps in the main event. He was scored 18th in the final rundown.
