Scelzi Set for 360ci Season Debut at Thunderbowl Raceway This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2014) – Dominic Scelzi will make his 360ci season debut at his favorite track this Saturday.

Scelzi is set to tackle Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., for the Harry Talbot Classic Memorial.

“We haven’t run a 360 in Tulare all year long,” he said. “This will be my first race with our new Panella Racing Engines 360 that we’re getting this week. It will tell us a lot about what we need to work on. I feel extremely confident going in.”

It will also provide a test prior to the 21st annual Trophy Cup, which will be held at the unique track Oct. 16-18.

“I always feel more confident and more comfortable at that track,” he said. “It’s completely different than any other race track I’ve been to. With the long straightaways and tight corners, it gets right up on the fence. From the get-go it’s so technical and difficult to race it brings me back to the micro track in Visalia where I grew up racing.”

Scelzi said that he prefers the tough racing and technical aspect that is showcased at Thunderbowl Raceway.

“Every single time I’ve been there we’ve been up against the fence,” he said. “You’re either good or you’re not. That’s what I love about it. You can’t fake it around that track.”

Scelzi has earned a top 10 in each of his past two races at the track.
