DAVENPORT HOLDS OFF HALLGREN FOR GOV CUP VICTORY
The Slingshot feature kicked off the feature racing action on Night 1 of the North Dakota Governor’s Cup Auto Races on Friday, July 25th. When the green flag waved, Halle Turnbull and Caiden Davenport raced the lead before a caution on lap one regrouped the field. On the restart, Caiden Davenport grabbed the top spot but had his hands full with a speedy Hailey Keller. Hailey Keller slipped up out of corner four, allowing Landen Hallgren to pass her for second place. Landen Hallgren quickly caught Caiden Davenport and they battled hard for the win. When the checkered flag waved, Caiden Davenport held off Landen Hallgren for the victory. Hailey Keller finished third ahead of her younger sister, Libby Keller while Easton Olson rounded out the top five.
