Rilat Ready to Make Debut at 21st annual Trophy Cup This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – FORNEY, Texas (Oct. 14, 2014) – Travis Rilat will make his debut this weekend at one of the premier events on the West Coast.

Rilat will return to the cockpit of Richard Saumure’s sprint car for the 21st annual Trophy Cup this Thursday through Saturday at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. It also marks his first time at the unique track.

“I’ve heard a lot about the Trophy Cup and Thunderbowl Raceway so I’ve always wanted to race there,” Rilat said. “I’m excited to get the chance this weekend. Hopefully we can put together a strong couple of nights and be in contention.”

Rilat and Saumure have teamed up to record a pair of victories this season, but this marks their first trip to Thunderbowl Raceway together. The duo finished second in 2012 during their only race in California.

“We’ve raced quite a bit in the Northwest the past couple of years and have had some success up there,” Rilat said. “I’d like to continue that down the West Coast.”

Rilat has earned multiple wins and podium finishes throughout Washington and Oregon throughout the past three seasons.
