Cla Knight notches Top-10 finish at Wythe Raceway

On Thursday afternoon, Cla Knight traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) to compete in the inaugural Kyle Larson Presents Late Model Challenge powered by Tezos event. In a field of 42 cars, Cla fell short of transfer spot in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main. The following night at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.) for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals sanctioned program, Knight timed in 10th-fastest in his group before placing fourth in his heat. With $10,053 on the line in the feature, Cla carried a steady pace throughout the 53-lapper to finish 10th.

For the weekend finale on Saturday at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.), Cla secured his spot into the $21,000-to-win Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial with a third-place finish in his heat. Losing five spots in the 60-lap affair, Knight logged a 14th-place outing.
