Setters Aiming to Cap Third Straight Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series Championship Run With Win

Inside Line Promotions – SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho (Aug. 24, 2021) – James Setters is on track to score his third consecutive Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series championship.

All Setters needs to do is compete this Saturday at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, Mont., during the season finale to secure the title in the Mike Quigley owned No. 2 sprint car.

“It definitely takes the pressure off and gives us room to experiment with setups and me with running new lines,” Setters said. “When you’re battling for the championship you don’t experiment much.”

Setters has swept all but one of the series events so far this season, winning a heat race and the main event during four nights of action. He won a heat race and placed second during the lone feature he didn’t win this year.

“It definitely would be nice to go out with a win,” he said. “That would be consistent with all the rest of the years with winning all but one race.”

Setters has captured 13 of 16 Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series races during the last three years.
