Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Doubleheader Up Next
LONGVIEW, Tex. (07/08/25) – Morgan Bagley celebrated the Independence Day holiday with his first win of the 2025 season behind the wheel of his P&W Sales No. 14M Rocket Chassis Super Late Model powered by a Clements Racing Engine.
The $3,000 victory marked Bagley’s first career Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) win and came Friday night at Louisiana’s Sabine Speedway.
“(Dillard is) the one to beat ... we got lucky, but like you said, you gotta be there," Bagley said. "He's one of the best in the country if you ask me, so just to kind of be behind him and be there I mean says something that we're headed the right direction."
On Friday, Bagley and Team 14 rolled into the 3/8-mile Louisiana oval as part of a 21-car MSCCS field. Bagley qualified his No. 14M Super Late Model with the second-quickest time in his group and finished third in the evening’s Top 6 Dash. He then rolled off from the third position to begin the 30-lap, $3,000-to-win feature.
He took over the lead on the 19th circuit of the main event and showed the way for the remainder of the race, taking the checkered flag 1.236 seconds ahead of Jon Mitchell. Chad Thrash, Brandon Carpenter and Ross Camponovo rounded out the top five in the Fourth of July show.
The next night, Bagley raced in a 25-car MSCCS program at the quarter-mile Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, Louisiana. He again qualified second in his group and took third in the Top 6 Dash. He started the 40-lap, $5,000-to-win A-Main from the third position and came home in the same spot, completing the podium after Thrash and Carpenter. Mitchell and Mike Palasini Jr. finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
