06/19/2015 (Auburn, MI) The Main Street Seed and Supply IMCA Modified took center stage to start off Father’s Day weekend and the 5th anniversary of TCMS as they competed in the Greased Pig 5.0 and for a $1,055 purse for the winner on a cool Friday night.

7D Myron DeYoung and #20W A.J. Ward came into the race as the top two in points and dominating the season. They have had some great battles all season long as both of them took wins in their heat races. Another challenger has come into the picture on one of the biggest nights in the IMCA Modified feature race. #68 Heath Grizzle Started on the pole for the feature after finishing in fourth place in the first heat race for the Modifieds. Once that green flag waved, Grizzle made it clear he wanted to take the win. Grizzle lead the first seven laps until the #7D of Myron DeYoung got below him to take the lead. Two laps later Grizzle found an opening and pulled off the slide job to make the pass and take the lead right back. Grizzle had to work to keep that lead as DeYoung and Ward were right behind him looking for an opening. Mistake by DeYoung and Ward caused them to fall back in the pack and from lap ten till the very end. Heath Grizzle was able to keep the pack behind him as the driver from Arkansas takes his first ever win at TCMS and the Greased Pig 5.0 plus the prize money of $1,055. Myron DeYoung came back to finish second followed by Fowler Vandermark, and Ken Zeigler. A.J. Ward finishes 10th.

Current points leader in the Hasting Racing Ring Late Models, #21H David Hilliker was looking for his first win of the season on Friday night after a second place finish in the third heat race. 50X Mike Curtis lead the field to the green to start off the 25-lap feature. He would not hold the lead for long as the #16 Mike Staszak took the lead. Then on lap three #86 Scott Clifford would claim the top spot for himself. At the midway point, your points leader David Hilliker would find some room to make the pass for the lead. Then on the final lap Hilliker was being challenged by the #7 of Brook Brasington and the race for the finish line began as they were side-by-side on the final lap. Coming out of turn four though was Brook Brasington who takes his first win of the year at TCMS. Hilliker after a strong run finishes second, followed by Hupert, Patterson Jr., and Wolfgang.

In the Auburn Bar and Grill Street Stocks so far this year. It seems like it can be anybody's race each week as out of the six features we have had this year we have had five different winners. #74 Andre Bergevin lead the field to the green to start of the feature and would only hold that lead for two laps as the #3C of Mitch Clements would take over the lead. On lap 7, the #X5 Eric Lake looking for his first win in the Street Stocks this year takes the lead from Clements. Four laps later on lap 11, the points leader #28 Jared Rizer got below Lake and was able to take the lead and there was no looking back. Jared Rizer would take the checker flag and pick up his third win of the season. Lake would finish second, followed by Newcomb, Clements and Kosha.

In the biggest total we have seen all season long in the Steven's Cycle Sales and Services Bomber Stocks. The five drivers were ready to go in there 12-lap feature. #77 Stacie Staszak took the lead coming out of turn two on the green flag and look to have a strong car as she took a have a straightaway lead. On lap six, Staszak had the #13 of Preston DeShano creeping up behind her, but that was not here only issue. She had a tire go down and caused her to slow down giving the lead up to DeShano and that would be the last lead change of the night. DeShano, in his first appearance at Tri-City Motor Speedway, picks up his first victory as well. Freeze would finish in second, followed by Koczenasz, Kosha and Staszak rounding out the field.

In the 20-lap Elgin Pro Stocks feature, #73 Kyle Reilly would take the lead after starting in the third position. After two laps though #71 of Timmy Near came up and passed Reilly to take the lead. The points leader, Steven Hilliker was looking for his fifth win of the season as he marched his way the field ever so slowly but, he was not fast enough as Near took the checkered flag and picked up his first win of the season. Hilliker would end up finishing second, followed by Reil, Radabaugh and Morrison.
