Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey begin 2021 season at Volusia Speedway Park

Roth Motorsports pilots Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey kicked off their 2021 season on Thursday evening at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) for the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals. With 38 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand for the three-day event, Jeff finished seventh in his heat while Joe came in seventh. With both drivers transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Roth fell short with an eighth-place outing while Godsey placed ninth. Returning on Saturday after Mother Nature wiped out Friday night’s program, Roth was a scratch from his eight-lap heat while Joe finished eighth. Needing a third place finish or better in their B-Main to make the $10,000-to-win finale, Godsey came four spots shy with a seventh place finish while Jeff logged a 10th-place outing.
