Justin, Austin Svoboda go 1, 2
David City's Justin Svoboda, 16J, and Austin Svoboda, 16, race against each other for the win Saturday night at Junction Motor Speedway. Justin brought home the win with Austin following in second.
The 16 cars had quite a night at the Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction on Saturday with Justin Svoboda taking the checkered flag in the Sport Modified Feature.
Svoboda started in second in Heat 2 of the Sport Mods with Austin Svoboda sitting in seventh. Justin, in the 16J, moved ahead of Ryan Peltier of Concordia, Kan. for first and Austin, in the 16, climbed five spots into second.
Scott Styskal of David City finished 16th and Jacob Kahnk of Ulysses took 18th. Austin and Justin are both from David City.
Two drivers represented David City in the Modified A-Feature race.
Tom Svoboda started in third but couldn’t hold his position. He dropped to eighth before crossing the finish line. Kevin Betzen placed 14th after starting in 11th.
