SLMR Returns to Park Jefferson Speedway for Bill Kirk Memorial Race Friday August 15th!
The Super Late Model Racing Series returns to Park Jefferson Speedway Friday August 15th for the first time since 2018. The Midwest's premier late model touring series takes center stage at Park Jefferson for the Fremont Tire Bill Kirk Memorial Race presented by Claas Farmpoint - Iowa! The Super Late Models race for a cool $5,086 to win. Also in action will be IMCA Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, and Sport Compacts for a track points night and increased win pay in each class. A crucial points night for weekly competitors as Season Championship Night is the following Friday, August 22nd.
High quality talent is expected to race fiercely on the high banked and extremely racey reconfigured 1/3 mile dirt oval. Jesse Sobbing leads the series points, while Tad Pospisil, Corey Zeitner, JC Wyman, and Jacob Hobscheidt round out the top 5. 6-15 in points see high level race teams as well, including; Kyle Berck, Bill Leighton, Dylan Sillman, Charlie McKenna, Andrew Kosiski, Brian Kosiski, Curt Schroeder, Darrel DeFrance, Jake Neal, and Dallon Murty. More than 25 late models are expected for the prestigious event. This is the first night of a 3 day swing for the SLMR which starts at Park Jefferson, then goes to Shelby County, and finishes at US 30 Speedway in Columbus.
Admission for Adults to the races this night is $22, Seniors 65+ and Veterans admission is $20, Students aged 13-17 admission is $15, Kids aged 6-12 admission is $10, and Kids 5 & Under are Free. Clubhouse Admission is $30 for Adults, $25 for Seniors, Veterans, and Students, $20 for Kids, and free for 5 and under. Pit Passes are $35, and $20 for kids aged 3-12. The Kids Zone will be open with a bounce pillow and playground set. The races are always a family friendly event! Bring out your family and friends and see the fastest late models in the Midwest along with our great Siouxland racers!
Pits Open at 5:00, Admission Gates Open at 6:00, Hot Laps at 7:00, and the Racing begins at 7:30. We hope to see you all at Park Jefferson Speedway in North Sioux City, SD just 5 miles north of Sioux City, IA for an awesome night!
