YOUNG ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH ACF-50

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Collingwood, ON CANADA – June 7, 2017 - Pro MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship (CSBK) road racer Ben Young is thrilled to announce a new partnership with ACF-50 (Anti Corrosion Formula). ACF-50 will be the Official Anti-Corrosion Product of Young’s #86 Scot-build Developments/BMW Motorrad S1000RR.

Young wrapped up his 2016 Pro MOPAR Canadian Superbike rookie season third in the Championship standings and was also honoured to receive the Brooklin Cycle Racing Pro Rookie of the Year Award. The first year MOPAR CSBK racer also wound up 23rd overall, world-wide, in the 2017 BMW Motorrad Race Trophy rankings against 104 international competitors in his first year aboard a BMW S1000RR Superbike.

The proud Canadian with the Scottish lilt from Collingwood Ontario began his 2017 CSBK season with an exciting come-back finish at Shannonville Motorsport Park to secure the third step on the podium.

“We developed ACF-50 30 years ago to meet or exceeded Aerospace corrosion protection requirements required by Boeing and Airbus. Sharing similar construction materials, we decided to make the proven aerospace quality corrosion protection available to the Motorcycle industry.” said Mr. Mark Pearson, Managing Director LEAR CHEMICAL RESEARCH CORP. “We wish Ben and his team a successful 2017 CSBK season!”

ACF-50 is the ultimate choice for both aircraft and motorcycles owners alike. ACF-50 protects all metals and electrical systems from corrosion. It’s an ultra Thin Fluid Film Compound (TFFC) that actively treats metal using advanced polar bonding technology. This technology forms a totally hydrophobic film on contact - protecting the metal from moisture attack. Whether you’re on the street, off road or on the track, ACF-50 provides the very best protection for gearbox cases, frames, rims, switches, levers, cables, springs, connectors, plugs, battery connectors and other mechanical and electrical components. Racers and motorcycle enthusiast are encouraged to make ACF-50 part of a regular preventative maintenance program to keep their ride always ready.

Marketed worldwide, ACF-50 is manufactured in Canada by Lear Chemical Research. It’s available to powersport dealers across Canada though CSBK series’ sponsor Motovan Corporation. To learn more visit www.learchem.com.

"Moisture can wreak havoc on the most meticulously prepared motorcycle so teaming up with ACF-50 gives us another layer of confidence at each race this season." said Young "I'm grateful for their support and I look forward to representing ACF-50 on and off the track."

With a solid start to his 2017 season under his belt, Young is excited to head to Grand Bend Raceway in Grand Bend, ON. for Round 2, the National Series' first ever visit to this track on June 9-11, 2017.

The Pro MOPAR CSBK action from Grand Bend Raceway is tentatively scheduled to air on TSN 3 on Monday June 18, 2017 at 1:30 PM. Visit www.csbk.ca for confirmed broadcast dates and times.

Young’s partners for his 2017 CSBK Championship season include; Scot-build Developments, BMW Motorrad Canada, AXO Racing, Arai Helmets, ACF-50, Hindle Exhaust, Woodcraft, Bickle Racing, SBS Brakes, Motion Pro, Human 2.0, K-Tech Suspension & Epic Racewear.

The 23 year old pilot of the #86 BMW S1000RR is also a proud "Laps for Muscular Dystrophy" (Laps4MD) rider who’s pledged to donate $1 for every lap he lead this season. These donations go to Muscular Dystrophy Canada to help make a difference in the lives of over 50,000 Canadians affected by a neuromuscular disorder.
