Bilderback Battles to Gandrud Performance Parts 50 Win

Wisconsin Dells WI 6/12/21-Michael Bilderback of Rockford IL, make a last lap pass on Jesse Bernhagen of Markesan to take the win in the Gandrud Performance Parts 50 Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park. Nick Beaver from Rosemount MN and Don Gaserude of Fort Atkinson brought the 23 car field to green and it was Beaver taking the lead from the point in the early going. Bilderback filled the mirror of Beaver immediately and took the lead on lap 3. Bilderback would continue to lead until lap 39 when Mike Lichtfeld of Portage made the pass coming out of turn two when the caution would come out relegating Lichtfeld back to second on the restart. On the restart Bilderback and Lichtfeld would wage battle leaving the door open for Bernhagen to slip past and then on the white flag lap Bilderback would once again slip past Bernhagen to take the lead for good and Lichtfeld would follow moving Bernhagen back to third at the finish. Beaver would come home in fourth and Nick Nolden of Sun Prairie would wind up in the fifth spot. The win would be the second for Bilderback on the year and the second place finish for Lichtfeld would vault him into the point lead. Earlier in the day it was Lichtfeld fastest in qualifying with a time of 14.151 83.952mph. Nick Beaver won the Clark Power Sports of Hillsboro Fast Dash, Heat Winners were Stephen Manke of Lodi and Cole Gray of Endeavor. The Late Models will be back in action next week as part of a double header with the CWRA Super Late Models on June 19th for Apollo Tool Night, along with the UMA Asphalt Mods, Bandits & Wisconsin Sport Trucks. Fan Gate open at 3pm with Qualifying at 4:30 and Racing beginning at 6pm.
