*This past Saturday night, 81 Speedway ushered in 5 divisions. Special thanks to Logan’s Landscape and Tree Service for keeping O’Reilly Winners Circle beautiful!! As favorable weather set in, on-track action stayed hot all night!!
*We started off with the Poorman Auto Supply USRA B-Mods. From the start, first-time visitor this season Jake Richards looked smooth and fast as he bolted to the front from the 3rd starting spot and stayed out front as the rest of the field battled side by side every lap. He was being chased by Tyler Kidwell, Travis Johnson, and K.C. Mullin, and after those 3 drivers, it was Josh Lanterman in the mix. Every spot was tightly contested and came down to the last lap. Jake Richards held the trophy, winning the A-Maaaaiiiinnnn!! Kidwell runner-up, LPR’s Josh Lanterman snuck in for 3rd, Travis Johnson 4th, and K.C. Mullin rounding out the top 5.
*Up next was the Alternative Pest Management USRA mods. It was the 7th car of youngster Treyton Gann off to a blazing start, looking flawless on the first nine circuits around the 3/8-mile track. Dan Powers, Tyler Davis, Kirby Robe, and Paden Phillips were all in the hunt for a win until what looked like a freestyle Monster Truck move on the backstretch occurred. Unfortunately, the incident caused a red flag and sent Kason Carroll and Austin Rogers to the care center for further observation and treatment. We will continue to check in with these guys on their conditions. After the carnage was cleared, the Credit King Choose Cone came out and realigned the field. Heading towards the front fast was Paden Phillips but quickly succumbed to a mechanical issue. As Gann stayed committed to the bottom, Hollywood Tyler Davis jumped to the topside and got around Gann for the top spot. Gann made great runs on the bottom, challenging Davis on multiple occasions, but the 65 of Davis grabbed the Iron (trophy) in Victory Lane. Gann 2nd, Robe with another solid performance, home in 3rd, Dan Powers 4th, and KA Kenton Allen for a top 5. The points battle is really tight as we continue in the season. We look forward to having all Mods in the area out to compete.
*The Allied Battery Stock cars always put on a show, and this night was no different. This class has so many talented drivers in the field that could win on any given night! Austin “Baby” Ramey was wheeling his #67 all night and landed on the front row of the feature. He took off and was battled early by Jayce Reimer for the lead. It didn’t take long for Beau Davis, Mason Schell, and Joey Richmond all to try and “park it” in victory lane as well until a few squeeze moves and some sort of sliders changed the dynamic quickly. “Rocket” Reimer stayed up front still challenged by Beau Davis, and the always fast Clint Smith. Hard-Charging John Allen drove his way through the pack up 15 spots after an early mechanical DNF in his heat race to nab the 5th spot. Jayce and crew loaded up victory lane photos taking home the hardware 1st! 2nd Beau Davis, 3rd to Clint Smith, 4th Austin Ramey. This class is all class and races each other hard every week. Come watch the TM Fencing LLC Dirt Crown Stock Car show next week starting at Humboldt on Friday the 8th and back right here at 81 Speedway on the 9th.
The TM Fencing LLC Super Stocks was the 2 Twisted Productions Bat Race Redraw division on this night. Thank you Aric Kick for the great help on this idea for fan interaction!!! The Bat race was competitive and so fun!! Watching Shawn Allen Jr. spin around and slide on the track, then Kenny Sweet staggering towards the inside wall…. Worth the admission to watch IMO. Now to the racing , The 5 car didn’t make it out and allowed the 75 of Reimer to start on the front row after a sub-par bat race performance….. He jumped out to another commanding lead and after multiple yellows and restarts he was caught by Kenny Sweet but remained at the point until a mechanical issue arose. Kenny capitalized and went on to Victory!!! JD Eveland 2nd, Alan Blevins 3rd, Jerry Eveland Sr. 4th. Thank you all for the fun night.
*Up last we crowned a Champion!!! With the JLR Property management 316 Modifieds. We want to thank all of the participants that came to every race this season, we appreciate you all !! We hope you all join the USRA mods in the coming weeks as you work on your racing program and compete. It did not take long for Flyin Ryan McAninch to get to the front. Youngster Justin Franz stayed within striking distance of him as well as Cooper Weis. When the checkered flag flew it was Weis in 2nd, Franz 3rd, Chas Klinkner 4th, and James Weve 5th. At the end Ryan dominated the class this season and again on this night! He won 6 of 7 nights and is your 2025 JLR Property Management 316 Mod Champion!! Congrats on the hard work and dedication it takes to be a champion
