Rowan Reels in 6th Place Finish in Gumbo Nats Opener

On Friday night Jonathan Rowan was one of 24 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series entries on hand at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for the two-day Gumbo Nationals. Earning the 16th-starting position for the opening night feature via preliminary events, Rowan improved 10 spots in the 40-lapper reeling in a 6th place finish. (Marcia May Photography)

The following night for the $8,000-to-win finale, Rowan dropped nine spots in the 75-lap affair logging an 18th place outing.
