Runner-up finish in Labor Day Classic at Crowley's Ridge
Kyle Beard entered his Mann Motorsports No. 86 Late Model into battle with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) on Friday afternoon at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Ark.) to kick off Labor Day weekend with the Labor Day Classic. (Miller Tanner photos)
In a field of 29 cars, Beard laid down the second-fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat. Earning the seventh-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Kyle advanced forward five spots in the 30-lapper to register a second-place finish. He followed Morgan Bagley across the line with Billy Moyer Jr. rounding out the podium.
Saturday’s event at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Ark.) and Sunday’s CCSDS stop at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
