GREEN ENDS DOMINATING SEASON AS NATIONAL CHAMPION
Derek green found himself center stage on Saturday January 27th at the USRA National Banquet, bringing home the National points title.
After a dominating season Green finished first in national points with 4,508 total points, 38 starts, 25 wins, and 34 top 5s. Green was awarded $4,000.00 for his achievement but was not done for the night. As the event moved onto individual driver achievements, The president of USRA, Todd Staley, Awarded green with the Driver of the year award.
In Green's speech he cited Fairmont as having the smoothest racing surfaces he raced on all year and Mason City for having a very fast cushion, and Deer Creek for the great racing atmosphere.
Green looks to hone his skills in the USRA Modified class in 2024 and saving the stock car for the big money shows. You can find him every Friday night at the Fairmont Raceway.
