Knowles storms to sixth-place finish in Alabama State Championship with Crate Racin' USA
Making the hike to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.), Jake Knowles joined the Alabama State Championship festivities to chase the $10,000 payday with Crate Racin' USA on Saturday afternoon.
Following the seventh-fastest lap in his group, Jake made up two spots in his heat but just missed a transfer position in fifth which relegated him to a B-Main.
With the main event slated for Sunday, Knowles cracked the A-Main field after finishing runner-up in his B-Main. In the 50-lap feature, Jake charged by his competitors and finished just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
